BIO
Having studied Art and Design at University, Helen continued to follow her passion for creating and learning throughout her career. A home, family and career as a teacher and education adviser followed, though Helen maintained her love of all things creative, teaching and making for more than 35 years.
Now, with her family grown up, Helen has the time and space to revisit these skills and get creative once more with colour, pattern and texture a passion and inspiration for her work.
Helen is also pleased to be able to combine her experience as a teacher with her creative passion and offer 1 to 1, group and party workshops and tuition. If it is something bespoke you are after to add personal style and flair to your home or that of a loved one, Helen will be happy to help.
Visit Helen's Workshop page for full details of her tuition.
MY ART
My creative portfolio includes a range of beautiful, useful things that I love myself, to use day-to day and to gift to others. Each piece is handmade by fusing layers of clear glass, glass chips, glass paints and a sprinkling of coloured glass frit to create added texture and interest. This is then then fired in my home studio kiln to give a smooth finish.
A selection of my items can be seen below. The full range can be regularly seen at Salisbury Arts Scene's outdoor events.
